Dwayne Haskins says he is 'Locked In' with Najee Harris

Najee Harris is taking the Steelers OTAs by Storm in 2021. He is walking into his rookie season, but many veterans have said they're impressed with the work he is putting in so far. Ben Roethlisberger has only seen a small sample size during OTAs and he feels Harris is a strong worker on the football field.

Just like Najee Harris, there is a new quarterback in town who is also impressing many players on the Steelers team. Dwayne Haskins has been drawing some high praise from Ben Roethlisberger as the 18-year veteran says his arm strength is very impressive. Could the Steelers be seeing something different in Haskins than the Washington Football team did? He looked atrocious with the Washington Football team, but I must admit maybe the Steelers feel they have a better football system built for Haskins and it is not too late to turn him around in the NFL?

Haskins is embracing his role with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but nothing is guaranteed at this point. He will need to walk into Training Camp and prove his worth to the Steelers brass. Although he may have a strong arm and is considered a talented quarterback he needs to prove it on and off of the football field that he has changed. Even his old head coach Ron Rivera at Washington said he is capable of being a good NFL quarterback if he would just fix the distractions on and off of the football field.

The young first-round quarterback recently took to Instagram and said he is locked in with Najee Harris. Does he think he could overtake Mason Rudolph's spot on the Steelers roster and eventually become the Steelers starting quarterback? I will say Ben Roethlisberger did not have such high praise for Mason Rudolph as he has for Dwayne Haskins, but only time will tell if Haskins can thrive in the Steelers football system. I am rooting for him because it is a win-win situation for both the Steelers and Dwayne Haskins in the long run if things end up working out in Pittsburgh.
