Chase Claypool reportedly suffered a lower-body injury near the end of today's practice. Here's a photo by Matt Freed of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette of Claypool being helped off the field by Ben Roethlisberger and Eric Ebron. Judging from the photo, it appears that Claypool was able to put at least some pressure on both legs, which is certainly a good sign that the injury wasn't serious.
And that's what Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network is hearing from sources. According to Garafolo, Claypool did not suffer a significant injury in practice today. This is a big relief, as it would have been devastating to the Steelers if Claypool suffered a season-ending injury or an injury that sidelined him for multiple weeks.
According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the early diagnosis is that Claypool suffered a “minor ankle sprain” today and “should be fine."
Claypool tweeted tonight, "All is well."
