Many Steelers players were going into the 2021 offseason knowing they could lose quite a few of their teammates. Their thinking was right. Bud Dupree, Mike Hilton, and Steven Nelson are now gone from the Pittsburgh Steelers. Alualu was set to sign with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but many defensive players and the Steeler's defensive line coach talked him into staying with the Steelers for two more years. So it looked like more players could have walked in the 2021 offseason, but the Steelers managed to keep them at home.
Heyward said during the 2020 season that Vince Williams is one of the defensive stalwarts they can rely on. This was after Williams missed a game with the Steelers. Cam said Vince doesn't really miss a ton of football games so he is mostly a guy who the defense can really rely on.
Cam and Vince are very close together on and off of the football field. So it was music to Cam Heyward's ears yesterday when the Steelers decided to bring Vinny back for one more year. Heyward took to Twitter yesterday and said it's time to get back to work in regards to Vince Williams.
