Here we go again with the National Media slandering Ben Roethlisberger this offseason. I didn't know whether I wanted to write about this or not, but I think it is necessary to document all of the slander against Ben Roethlisberger just in case he goes off in 2021. In 2020 much of the media were not high on the Steelers, but started to jump on their bandwagon when they were 11-0 toward the middle of the season. This season could play out similarly if everything comes together for the Steelers organization.
I hope Ben Roethlisberger comes into Pittsburgh and torches his competition this season more than ever because of all of the hate he is receiving this offseason. No one knows what type of Pittsburgh Steelers team we're going to get going into the 2021 season so most of the offseason chatter has been speculation, but one thing is for sure... The National Media does not like the 2021 Pittsburgh Steelers at all.
Bleacher Report recently wrote an article predicting every NFL team's biggest bust's going into the 2021 season. They feel Ben Roethlisberger will be the biggest bust for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bleacher feels Ben Roethlisberger's implosion against the Cleveland Browns in the Playoffs cannot be overlooked heading into the new season.
Ben Roethlisberger is heading into his 18th season 39-years old with major elbow surgery. Throughout his career in the NFL, he has taken a beating and could finish the 2021 season as the all-time leader in sacks. He will also have an offensive line who is inexperienced and much younger than he has had in recent years.
Bleacher Report feels the Steelers have all of the talents in the world to be a contender in 2021, but they will not have the ability to protect Ben Roethlisberger upfront. If Ben Roethlisberger goes down in 2021 then you can kiss the Steeler's chances goodbye going forward. For now, I am going to give Ben Roethlisberger the benefit of the doubt because after all he is a future Hall of Famer and gives the Steelers the best chance to win in 2021.
