Ben Roethlisberger didn't hold back during his Wednesday morning press conference when asked whether the Steelers got the short end of the stick with the team having an unexpected bye week due to the COVID-19 outbreak in the Titans organization.

"Of course, we got the short end of the stick," Roethlisberger said.

Roethlisberger said he doesn't think the NFL would consider forcing the Titans to forfeit against the Steelers since there are talks now that Tennessee could forfeit against the Bills this week since two more players tested positive this morning.

Roethlisberger is off to a solid start this season completing 65.6 of his passes for 777 yards, seven touchdowns, one interception, and a quarterback rating of 105.2. Roethlisberger is hoping the league’s decision to reschedule their game against the Titans doesn’t end up affecting his play.

“The league already tried to slow it down, so I guess I’ll start over from scratch and hope this week I didn’t take too many steps backward,” he said. “I guess we’ll just see how it goes this week.”

Roethlisberger was asked if his rhythm would be affected by having a bye week after playing three games.

"It’s tough, especially for someone like myself who was just starting to kind of get back in the flow of things," Roethlisberger said. "It’s not easy, but you have to adjust. You have to adapt and do the best you can.
