The Steelers offense sputtered Sunday against the Washington Football Team, but it was not mainly because of Ben Roethlisberger. It was because the Steelers were a one-dimensional football team who threw the ball 53 times. Ben feels the Steelers offense has plenty of room to improve after their loss against the Washington Football Team. Ben gave his full assessment after the game and even gave the Steelers offense a letter grade.
"We're not great on offense right now," Ben said. "We're not bad. We're a little above average, B or B-minus. There's plenty of room for improvement."
That's a generous grade from the Steelers quarterback because even Stevie Wonder could see this offense deserves a D. Again, this is not just taking a shot at Ben Roethlisberger, but rather taking a shot at the entire offense in general. They have not played great as of late and even JuJu Smith-Schuster has said on multiple occasions the Steelers defense has bailed out the offense.
The Steelers offense currently ranks 12th worst in the league averaging 346.5 yards per game. The Steelers rushing game is ranked 7th worst in the NFL. Do these rankings deserve a grade of a B? Let's be real the Steelers are a D at best on offense right now and Ben should be honest by calling his offense out saying so. The Steelers look to get back on track Sunday against the Bills which will really show who the Steelers really are. Let's just hope they come out with a W instead of falling to 11-2.
