Many Pittsburgh Steelers fans were very excited when the Pittsburgh Steelers picked Najee Harris in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft. It sounds like Ben Roethlisberger is just as excited to get Najee Harris in the Steelers backfield. Harris is already impressing many of his teammates during their 2021 OTAs and many of them think he is going to be a special running back in the NFL once he starts getting things going on the football field.

During Ben Roethlisberger's recent press conference he spoke very highly of Najee Harris. Typically Roethlisberger and Tomlin do not like to put a Rookie on a pedestal, but there is no denying that Najee Harris has some serious talent on the football field. Ben said Harris is a really hard worker and he even told a story about how the Steelers running back's coach had to tell Harris he was going home because Najee wouldn't stop getting in more and more reps.

Harris has always been a hard worker on and off of the football field and that is one of the reasons why he is so talented. Growing up in a rough neighborhood showed him that he needed to become a hard worker to get out of his situation. Now he is with one of the best football teams in the NFL. Hard work always pays off.

Ben says Harris is constantly asking questions when he is on the field. He really wants to get the Steelers system down to a science. Roethlisberger doesn't feel the NFL will be too big for Najee Harris and he doesn't seem lost at all. He feels Najee is up to par in regards to the NFL, but once things fully click for Harris on the football field Ben says it is going to be very special to see.

Ben Roethlisberger on Najee Harris: "He's a really hard worker," Roethlisberger said, "He's in here extra long. I think the other day the running back coach Eddie Faulkner told him, 'Hey Najee, I have to go home now.' That just shows that he's still in there watching film. He's constantly asking questions, and that's good. He doesn't seem lost. It's not too big for him. He's out there and he's playing fast. And I think the most exciting part about Najee that we're all going to be excited to see is once he clicks and he goes full speed, it's going to be something to see."
