The Steelers nearly gave that game to the Denver Broncos, it was one of the games where you were about to have a meltdown because of how the Steelers kept letting them stay in the game with a backup quarterback.

After the unfortunate injury of Drew Lock, the Broncos put in Jeff Driskel the former Bengal and he almost won the game. He played pretty well all things considering, Melvin Gordan also carved up our defense for a total of 70 yards on 19 carries. As the game went on, the Steelers definitely tightened up but still, Melvin Gordan and the Broncos offensive line behind the old Steelers offensive line coach Mike Munchak who the Steelers have a ton of respect for. He was the coach that was most likely responsible for some of the success of LeV’eon Bell. All I can say is, I think Melvin Gordan will thrive and that offensive line will only grow with him as their coach.

I don’t think we need to be worried. We got out with a win. That’s all that matters. Coach Tomlin understands that we need to make adjustments and we need to be held accountable for the number of penalties that we had. Some of the more brutal penalties were the penalties on Minkah Fitzpatrick and Joe Haden on third down. We just can’t do that, especially when you are playing a better team who will take advantage of those opportunities. They just need to review film, and get ready for a tough matchup against the 0-2 Texans at Heinz Field. This game should be considered the Watt Bowl.
