It looks like Steelers Free Agent Alejandro Villanueva could be staying in the AFC North. Just not with the Pittsburgh Steelers. There is optimism currently that the Baltimore Ravens and Alejandro Villanueva can strike a deal, pending agreement on terms. Villanueva is being viewed as being able to play RT for the Ravens, with the flexibility to swing inside if need be, or LT depending on Stanley's health in Baltimore.
This is not shocking news because Baltimore has decided to trade OT Orlando Brown to the Kansas City Chiefs this afternoon. It seems like Baltimore is going to kick the tires on Alejandro Villanueva who obviously is looking to get the biggest contract in 2021. That is one of the reasons why the Pittsburgh Steelers have not come to terms on an agreement with Villanueva because both sides are far apart on money.
Ravens Beat Reporter Jamison Hensley says by trading Orlando Brown to the Chiefs, Ravens are expected to replace him at right tackle with Alejandro Villanueva. The deal likely won't become official until after the draft, but Villanueva visited the Ravens Thursday. So the Ravens add some picks and think they won't have much dropoff with Villanueva. If Villanueva goes to another AFC North team he will not be the only Pittsburgh Steeler to switch sides as Mike Hilton went to the Bengals during the 2021 offseason.
TJ Watt is licking his chops at the idea of Alejandro Villanueva going to the Baltimore Ravens as we speak...
