The Steelers are staring down the end of Free-Agency and seeing plenty of Free-Agents available. However, they haven't really jumped and made any offers toward any of the guys that are available.
They really have a need to add any veterans nor the cap space, however, it's an interesting thought. Some players that are left would improve this team and add some good depth to help us down the stretch.
Todd Gurley RB/Le'Veon Bell
Both of these guys would be a solid addition to our running back rooms. However, I put them together because they are not what they once were. Both of these guys at one point in their careers were thought of as the best running backs in the NFL and it's a shame that their production has gone way downhill. Both of these guys though I feel would improve our running back room. After the departure of James Conner, I don't see one player on our roster that is better than any of those two gentlemen above.
Brian Pool CB
With the unexpected departure of Steven Nelson, the Steelers now have a need for a CB, and Brian Pool might just be that guy who could to Pittsburgh on a friendly deal, and then after this season, he could look to get paid. I just think having a player as experienced as him and as young as he could prove useful for the Steelers and what they are trying to and that is reaching the Super Bowl. However, I feel like this position could be addressed in the Draft. However, the Steelers are not as good at evaluating CB Talent as of late. So, we'll see.
Jesse James TE
This is a former Steeler that I'm hoping works his way back to the Steelers, he was with the Lions where he didn't do as well as some hoped. Although, they did draft a TE early in the draft and that left Jesse on the outside looking in. So, he's now a Free Agent once again after being cut and I'm wondering if he is able to work his way back to Pittsburgh on a deal that is friendly for both sides. Our TE room outside of Ebron is very thin and adding Jesse would definitely benefit the Steelers. Jesse is also somewhat familiar with the Steelers system.
